Vectors of excellence and strategic committees: the innovative projects factory
ADVANCITY and its partners are targeting three vectors of excellence, at the heart
of the cluster’s strategy, that are contributing to the renewal of extensive
urban areas:
- instrumentation, engineering and city management;
- the environmental efficiency of cities, through
the management and the development of the ground level and subsurface,
networks and infrastructures, sustainable construction, urban development
and transport ;
- the “quality of the city” and its services,
applied notably to mobility and to the urban health environment.
These vectors of excellence constitute the foundation
of the cluster’s new strategic commitments for 2009-2011, reinforcing the role
of environmentally friendly technologies and industries, two advantages
essential in accelerating urban transformation and rising to the environmental,
economic and social challenges facing global metropolises.
Advancity is organised into 8 strategic committees,
where competencies are brought together, innovation orientations emerge, and
innovative collaborative projects are developed:
- Urban Environmental and Energy Technologies
(TU2E),
- Ground level,
subsurface, infrastructures and networks (3SIR),
- Building Energy
Environment (B2E),
- Efficiency of
Public Transport (EFFITRANS),
- New Uses and Mobility
(NUM),
- Accessibility and Urban
Health Environment (ACCEUS),
- Environmentally friendly city organisation (ECOVILLE),
- Photovoltaic (PV Ile de France)
For the purpose of covering the vectors of excellence
and hosting the 8 strategic committees, the cluster is equipped with expertise
in running projects aimed at bringing innovative products and services to
marketability within five years.
